  • Can A Tutor Help My Child?

    Whatever the challenge, one to one personal tuition from an expertly matched professional tutor almost always benefits a student. He or she  becomes engaged in learning and grows in knowledge and confidence.

  • Is My Child Too Young To Be Tutored?

    We work with children from KS1 onward to improve literacy and numeracy skills and support learning.

  • What Subjects Do You Cover?

    The majority of our students are looking for help in Maths, the Sciences, French, German, Spanish,English and SATS/11+ support but we provide expert tutors in most subjects.

  • What Areas Do You Cover?

    Aylesbury, Haddenham, Thame, Tring, Princes Risborough, Wendover, and surrounding villages.

  • Should I Withdraw My Child From The 11 Plus?

    In general we would say that most children should be entered for the 11 plus. It provides their first experience of a proper exam and they may surprise you, increasing their life chances substantially. If you feel your child is likely to be distressed in any way by the exam then talk to their tutor or school teacher.

  • Where Will My Child Be Tutored?

    Your child can either be tutored at the tutor’s home or your own home. In the latter case, you will need to pay the tutor’s travelling expenses.

  • How Do You Match Children To Tutors?

    We discuss your child’s needs and personality at length with you before sessions begin. We know all our tutors well and use our own skill and experience to match tutor to need.

  • Should I Use An 11 Plus Tutor?

    One to one tuition can help a talented child achieve the score needed to attend the very best schools and prepare mentally for their first big exam.

  • What Ages Do You Cover?

    We can provide tutoring at all levels from K1 through GCSE to A Level and possibly beyond.

  • Do You Do Online or Group Tuition?

    We firmly believe that the best results are achieved by tutor and student working closely together in the same room. Some of our tutors run group sessions when appropriate.

  • Are All Your Tutors Qualified?

    Our tutors are all qualified teachers or qualified teaching professionals. They have proven clear DBS checks and good references.

  • How Much Does Tuition Cost?

    For KS1 to GCSE level the fee is £36 per hour. For A level the fee is £40 per hour

  • Are All Your Tutors DBS Checked?

    Yes.

  • How Do I Pay?

    Normally, you pay the tutor at the start of a session, either in cash or by cheque if previously agreed.
